There are few things in childhood - or were when I was a child - more enthralling than the urban legends of impending doom from everyday items. Especially with tales like the one about mixing Pop Rocks with Coca-Cola creating an explosion big enough to kill you! Jackie finds herself in the middle of just such an explosion, and like the legend, its repercussions are all out of proportion to the innocent candy and soda pop mixture. With Harrison Allard, Jackie finds all kinds of new experiences - sexual and inspirational. But she also finds herself in a competition with Harrison, and with that, the increasing fear and anxiety about failing. But in the end, well, you'll just have to read. Be assured, though, our heroine perseveres.
